This folder contains select decades of issues of the Archdiocesan newspaper now known as the Catholic Herald. For a number of decades the Archdiocese of Milwaukee published 2 separate editions: The City Edition, which circulated in the greater Milwaukee area in Milwaukee, Waukesha, and Ozaukee Counties, and the Archdiocesan Edition, which circulated in the other counties. On September 17, 1981 the City Edition and the Archdiocesan Edition merged. On November 19, 1981 the Catholic Herald Citizen changed it's name to the Catholic Herald. Select years of the City Edition were digitized from microfilm through generous funding secured by an independent researcher. The Archdiocesan Edition is not currently digitized.
